A Random Weekend in January, 2014

It was a fun weekend with friends on Friday! Jack and Sadie had ice cream with Harrison and Alice Moffatt. Alice came home with us later in the day and spent the night. Makenzie spent Friday night with Addie! Although they have been friends since they were 4, their friendship has grown this year into a sweet, sweet relationship! This is a picture of them being recognized for their 5th grade basketball season at the Homecoming Peprally.

Makenzie's 5th grade year - Volleyball and Basketball

Makenzie was able to play Middle School Sports for her first time at Woodland. Volleyball was a great experience for Makenzie! It gave her a lot of confidence and taught her how to play as a team. Her and sweet Addie became great friends!

Basketball has also been a great time! I have truly enjoyed watching these girls that have been together since they were three years old play together as a team. I can remember arguments among these little girls when they were in PK and JK! To see them play and talk as a team is extremely a neat thing! This particular picture of the 5th grade basketball girls is the championship game of the Blue Streak tournament. The tournament was held during Christmas Break (2013) and the girls won the tournament! So much fun!

Sadie's Ears!

So, we gave Sadie the same option we gave Makenzie when she was 6 years old....the option to get her ears pierced. Sadie, being my timid one, did not want to. However, on her 8th birthday she decided she was ready. So here are the pictures! Now, it is December and the ears are still an ordeal. As of today (January 3, 2014), Sadie has changed her earrings 3 times. If her earrings are out for longer than 2 hours, she is sure the holes have grown in. Sadie is not only our timid one, but also our drama queen!

Our Baseball Boy!

We had our first baseball tournament this weekend! We did great! The team has a lot to work on, but we had fun! We made it to the Championship game. Losing wasn't too bad since we played our best during the Championship game. Jack hit an in-the-park home run. The coaches have him playing right centerfield. This makes me nervous since he isn't the greatest at catching fly balls. Nevertheless, him and his team did a great job!

Makenzie scores a goal!

Makenzie had a great game this past weekend! She is playing for the U11 and U12 Soccer Ole team. Playing forward has proven to be a good spot for her. She did great passing and even scored a goal. The not-so-good picture is below!
