Our Baseball Boy!

We had our first baseball tournament this weekend! We did great! The team has a lot to work on, but we had fun! We made it to the Championship game. Losing wasn't too bad since we played our best during the Championship game. Jack hit an in-the-park home run. The coaches have him playing right centerfield. This makes me nervous since he isn't the greatest at catching fly balls. Nevertheless, him and his team did a great job!

Makenzie scores a goal!

Makenzie had a great game this past weekend! She is playing for the U11 and U12 Soccer Ole team. Playing forward has proven to be a good spot for her. She did great passing and even scored a goal. The not-so-good picture is below!

Jack's Tryouts for Collierville Dragons

We decided to have Jack tryout for his first competitive baseball team this fall. I was quickly shown that my son is not the best baseball player in his age division in Memphis. I guess I assumed that since he had been in a batting cage and on a baseball field since he was a baby, that he would be the best! After four different tryouts and three turndowns, Jack made the Collierville Dragon's baseball team. We are super excited and are glad this is the team he made!! Go Dragons!

First Day of School

I completely forgot to post this picture on my blog. This was the first day of school for Makenzie, Jack, and Sadie. Makenzie entered Middle School this year...5th grade. Seriously! Am I old enough? Her teacher is Mrs. Foster. Jack has Mrs. Cowan and is entering 2nd grade. Sadie is also entering 2nd grade and has Ms. Meredith. Looking forward to a great year and am very grateful to Woodland for helping me raise my children! It takes a village! Blessed!

Twins 8th Birthday

I remember the day I found out I was having the twins. I was having pain in my lower abdomen and the doctor wanted me to come in so he could check me out. After they listened to

what was supposed to be one heartbeat, they wanted to do an ultrasound. When the ultrasound technician told me to look at the two heads on the ultrasound screen, my response was, "My baby has two heads?" Never in a million years did I think I was having twins. After 8 crazy and fun years, I am beyond blessed to have them!!

To celebrate their birth, we went to Pancho's on Wednesday night with Gigi and Paphop. We had breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. The twins each had two friends over on Friday night to help celebrate. We took them to eat pizza at Three Guys Pizza Pie. Happy 8th Birthday, Jack and Sadie!

Meem's 80th Birthday

This is Blaine's sweet grandmother, Abby.....better known as Meem or Mimi! She turned 80 years old last week! She is loved by her all in our family! The kids have been extremely blessed to have her in their lives since the moment they entered the world. Meem kept all three kids a couple of times a week when they were babies. They came home with full bellies and a little on the wild side each time they were with her, but I consider them extremely lucky to spend so much time with their great grandmother! God has truly blessed us with Meem!

Disney World was a once in a lifetime trip for us and we did it right! We spent four whole days at the parks, enjoying all the different rides and shows. Universal was our favorite park in Orlando! It had more rides (which is what the kids wanted) and they were more age appropriate for the kids. Magic Kingdom was great, but it was more for younger children who are still enamored with princesses. Out of all three kids, Sadie enjoyed Magic Kingdom the most! We also spent a day at Hollywood Studios. Again, there were not as many rides, but they had some really cool shows. We enjoyed the Muppet Show and The Indiana Jones Show. Of course the Tower of Terror was great! We ended our night at the Polynesian Resort where we had dinner at Kona Cafe and watched the fireworks on the beach.

It was a wonderful trip that was super busy and exhausting, but it was awesome to see the kids so excited! Here are all of my pictures!
