Fruits of the Spirit
Luke 6:44 "For every tree is known by it's fruit."
I love to go to the Farmers Market here in Memphis. Do you? Does your Mom and Dad go to get fresh fruit and vegetables? For some reason when I go, I feel healthy and I feel like I am doing something really great for my family. I am not sure why, but that is how I feel when I see all of those pretty, colorful fruits and veggies. As followers of Jesus, we all have our own fruit stands. Our fruit stand is how we demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit to other people - love, joy, peace, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control.
Whatever your job is (student, teacher, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, or son), we all have a way that we display our fruit stands. The way we interact with people and how we handle daily challenges in our lives is our fruit stand.
Matthew 5:16 says "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven." Are people able to see good fruit in your fruit stand by observing you daily? Luke 6:44 says "For every tree is known by its fruit."
This means that when people show animosity or you fell that they have done you wrong, you show self-control in how you respond. It also means when things are not going your way, you fail a test, you didn't get invited to a sleepover, or things aren't going great at home, you have faith in God that things will get better. This also means you show love to everyone....even if they are different than you.
So, how do we increase our fruit so that we are sure we are constantly bearing and showing good fruit? Colossians 1:10 says "to be fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." This means we have to read and know God and become more knowledgable about the Bible. We have to pray and be intimate with God to get to know him better. This is what increases good fruit in our fruit stand.
Let everyone see the good fruit in your fruit stand today!!

Super Star!
Jack had his first basketball game this weekend! They won 23-8. Jack had 4 baskets! Here are a couple of the shots!
Poor Kenz!!
Makenzie went to basketball practice this past Thursday night and tripped over her friend's foot. She landed hard on her elbow and wrist. Blaine took her to Campbell's Clinic where she got an x-ray. The x-ray did not show any broken bones because of her open growth plates. We will go back in a few weeks to see what the verdict is! Happy New Year!
Pretty Girl!!
New Years Eve
We rang in the New Years with the Lee's. We ate dinner and barely got the midnight! Great night with Family and Friends!
